The Manager of the Security team is tasked with setting the strategic course, meeting revenue goals, and accomplishing technical aims while supervising the daily functions of their designated division.

JOB OBJECTIVE

The Manager of the Security team is tasked with setting the strategic course, meeting revenue goals, and accomplishing technical aims while supervising the daily functions of their designated division. This position not only leads but also engages in shaping and executing the team's goals, objectives, policies, and priorities by establishing standardized processes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of services, projects, and tasks. Furthermore, they execute strategies to attract, retain, and nurture skilled and seasoned professionals.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  1. Develops plans, goals, and budgets for the Security Team
  2. Oversees the operations, and activities of the Security Team in order to increase the efficiency and productivity of team members
  3. Responsible for the successful delivery of client project work across all teams
  4. Oversees key projects and assists project team in design and development tasks
  5. Identifies resources needed, develops schedules and measures results in PSA System
  6. Develops processes to improve delivery of services
  7. Manage client escalations and negotiate resolution
  8. Works with clients to understand their needs and identify opportunities for value creation
  9. Develops technical proposals and client presentations and whenever necessary validate proposals with vendor engineering team
  10. Recommends budgets to management; including staff utilization, technology, facility and equipment requirements or improvements
  11. Develop team members’ capabilities in support of individual career goals and team objectives
  12. Establish collaborative relationships built on trust and commitment and develop relationships at multiple levels within customer accounts and business partners
  13. Monitor and approve requests for customer‐focused pre‐sales and post sales resources
  14. Work jointly with the sales organization to align technical account strategies to customer business requirements and goals
  15. Coordinates delivery and installation of technology that meet quality assurance standards and customer needs
  16. Ensures that risks are identified, communicated, and mitigated and that projects are delivered successfully through to production
  17. Researches and investigates new technical solutions that can provide additional value and positively impact the organization’s growth and success
  18. Write performance reviews and solves internal issues

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • MSc./BSc. in Information Technology, Engineering or related discipline from an accredited tertiary institution
  • A minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience at the managerial level in a comparable service support role within the Information Technology field
  • Possessing a Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) would be considered a valuable advantage or asset
  • Extensive background in the design, execution, and supervision of IP networks within expansive, high-capacity settings
  • Solid grasp of network security fundamentals and recommended practices

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • Extensive expertise and experience in the use of cross-functional management methods and techniques
  • Exceptional leadership abilities with a proven track record of delivering results and a pronounced customer-centric approach
  • Profound understanding of IT applications, support tools, techniques, processes, technological implementations, software, and hardware systems
  • Exceptional proficiency in diagnosing issues, resolving problems, and making decisions
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
