Our client, the Trinidad and Tobago Trade and Investment Promotion Agency invites applicants for the position of Manager, Industry & Sector Development.

The Manager of Industry and Sector Development is responsible for driving growth and development within the Agency. The work involves identifying opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and implementing initiatives to support the growth and competitiveness of businesses and organisations within the sector. This role continuously monitors and analyses market conditions, consumer trends, and emerging technologies within the industry and provides insights and recommendations based on research findings. 

Qualifications and Experience ​

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, or Public Policy​

  • 5-6 years experience in the field of research, policy development and data analysis​

Key Accountabilities​

  • Conduct research and analysis to understand the current state of the industry or sector, including market trends, competitive landscape, and potential growth areas. ​

  • Collaborate with the industry and sector specialists to provide direction, leadership, integration, alignment and timely execution of the strategic objectives of the Agency  ​

  • Assess potential risks and challenges facing the industry and develop mitigation strategies​

  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including private sector, public sector and civil society agencies, businesses, industry associations and educational institutions. ​

  • Analyze, monitor and report on actions and initiatives across all sectors ​

  • Support human resource management by participating in the performance management and disciplinary processes​
