Key duties include:
- Accountable for the day-to-day operations of the store by promoting a positive and productive work environment
- Partners with the Store Manager to lead and develop store coworkers, recruit and retain top talent, while promoting company values and providing excellent customer service
- Assists in delivering consistent, in the moment, feedback and coaching to employees
- Partners with the Store Manager to set SMART goals, achieve financial success and make adjustments as necessary
- Creates a welcoming environment for the customer by greeting and assisting; as well as quickly responding to customer inquiries and need.
- Ensures company standards are met for store and associate appearance at all times
- Provides administrative support to the general manager which includes managing all new hire paperwork and submitting to the HR department.
- Plans, coordinates, and executes all campaigns, and store promotions in a timely manner
- Assists with the scheduling and rostering of sales staff
- Displays ability to perform all tasks of subordinate associates on an as needed basis
- Assists in delivering consistent, in the moment, feedback and coaching to employees
- Performs sales and BBO transactions while developing skills for the role
- Handles all cash and negotiable items in accordance with established policies, procedures and practices
- Perform other duties assigned
Requirements for the Manager in Training role include:
- High School Diploma or Associates Degree with previous management experience
- Strategic and tactical staff management skills
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong fiscal management
Supervisory Responsibility
This role manages and directs staff management using the CashWiz approach. The role is responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of direct reports and for carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
Physical Demands
Employees must be able to meet any physical ability requirements necessary to perform position. Due to the nature of the industry, the types of products and items that may be lifted, carried or handled during a work shift varies from day-to-day and week-to-week. On average, an employee will handle jewelry, tools, bicycles, and electronics (stereo, televisions, speakers) on a daily basis.
Travel
Occasional local travel is expected with this position (both locally and internationally). The MIT may be requested to temp at other locations.
