We have an exciting opportunity for a Manager Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) to join the Cayman Islands Government and become a vital member of a highly collaborative team “To make the lives of those we serve better”.

As a member of the IT team, the Manager, Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the implementation of effective risk
management, compliance, and governance frameworks within the Computer Services Department (CSD). This role ensures that all IT
activities comply with Change management Control regulatory requirements, and internal policies, while mitigating risks and
enhancing the department's overall security posture.
Knowledge, Experience, and Skills
The post-holder must possess:

Education:
• An IT-related Bachelor’s degree or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems

Experience:
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in IT governance, risk management, vendor management and compliance roles.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing governance frameworks, risk management strategies, and compliance
programs.
• Strong understanding of ITIL principles and best practices.
• Strong understanding of CIG’s procurement law and Business case development.
Key Competencies:
• Strong attention to detail to ensure changes are thoroughly reviewed and approved before implementation.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and IT industry best practices
• Must also have strong IT operations acumen, including cross-domain knowledge and experience in an individual contributor
role in IT Operations.
• Must also have strong acumen in Change and Incident control management.
• Must understand the government procurement law and have experience with Tracking multiple vendor-related projects,
renewals across CSD units.
• Ability to gather and understand information, curiosity, think of new ideas, evaluate existing ones and think strategically
and plan ways forward, solving problems and achieving outcomes
• Planning and Organizing - Work in a planned, structured way, prioritizing effectively to meet deadlines and corporate
objectives

The post includes excellent benefits as determined by the Public Service Management Act and Regulations (2018 Revision), the
Public Service Pensions Law (2017 Revision) and the CINICO Health Plan. This currently includes 25 days paid vacation, 11 public
