Manages the sub-segment towards the achievement of revenue, profit and market share targets in keeping with JMMB’s expectations for return on investment and in the best interest of all stakeholders (clients, team, shareholders).

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sub-segment Performance:

  • Prepares activity-based plans and budgets for the sub-segment to ensure contribution to revenue as per agreed targets. These include positioning of all relevant group solutions and services to clients in the sub-segment.
  • Manages cost of funds for the sub-segment
  • Leads the implementation in the sub-segment of agreed marketing and sales strategies, in-keeping with the targets for revenue, profit and market-share, while observing the limits for risk exposure, for JMMB and specified local subsidiaries.
  • Proposes new strategies to build on and enhance existing strategies to increase growth in business.
  • Proposes financial partnership activities (including recommendation of event sponsorship) to meet targets. This includes contribution to event design and execution to ensure effectiveness of representation.
  • Increases revenue per client through the cross-sale of group solutions and services to JMMB clients and potential clients in keeping with client’s needs based on financial life cycle positioning.
  • Ensures the review, approval and sign-off of business processed in the sub-segment.
  • May be a member to committees or projects that supports the development of product, services or procedures.
  • Authorize transactions and sign documents on behalf of JMMB within the parameters specified in the policy and procedure documentation.
  • Coordinate reports for Executive Management and the Board, and its sub-committees, to include identifying trends in High-Net-Worth client portfolio performances as required.
  • Supports the Delivery of informative and persuasive presentations to respective interest groups.

Brand Positioning

  • Engages in public relation activities that promote JMMB’s visibility and enhance its public image in the sub-segment.
  • Sits as a member of Community Boards, Committees and Club representing corporate responsibility and community involvement. 

Client Management

  • Manages client interaction towards Group objectives for brand experience and client intimacy
  • Supports development of client portfolio and investment strategies; including the provision of financial advice to Clients in the sub-segment to help them meet their financial goals.
  • Analyses client feedback and surveys to determine corrective action. Makes recommendations where feedback affects segment-wide issues.
  • Responds to client concerns and ensures resolution leaves client complete.
  • Supports the migration of clients to appropriate digital and omni channels.
  • Ensure retention of clients through superior service and financial advice. 
  • In the event a client is terminating their relationship with JMMB ensure they retain a positive image of the Company.

Team Management

  • Provides coaching and development for all reportees including the preparation of individual development plans and IBSC’s to ensure that team members are engaged and motivated and are a fit for the role assigned.
  • Engages weekly coaching discussions towards maintaining the One Client One Financial Partner conversation to support recommendation of the appropriate financial solutions, including investments and banking solutions. Provides direction, fosters teamwork, leads and manages the sub-segment to excite its Team Members to excellence and to facilitate its efficient, effective, caring operations.
  • Manages team performance to ensure that all team members are delivering as per role expectations.
  • Monitors and supports team members’ Utilization of appropriate applications or other Client Relationship Management tools to document leads, sales, meetings, events, and business outcomes (eg FP30 and Power BI)
  • Conducts clean-ups as required to ensure that team is cohesive and harmonious and that the team spirit is in keeping with JMMB’s partnership contract.

Credit  Management

  • Conducts credit  reviews  for  submissions and  approval by Credit Admin and Credit Risk.
  • Supports with financial and credit analysis, preparation of credit proposals, and management of loan application in accordance with pre and post disbursement processes and policies.
  • Facilitate the preparation of credit proposals and completion of the loan process.
  • Strict adherence to Delinquency Management protocols per Credit Risk Management (CRM) guidelines.

Business Development

  • Attract new clients and mine the existing database for potential clients to increase the consolidation sub-segment clientele by Creating networking opportunities to solicit new business, participating in sales, marketing, and public relations activities, and attending booths, trade shows, and exhibitions as needed.
  • Develop plans for growing client base and deepening client relationships and wallet share aligned with JMMB’s marketing and sales strategy to maintain an active health pipeline of prospective clients and convert to business to increase revenue growth.
  • Establish financial partnerships and create initiatives and opportunities for business development.
  • Supports Delivery of  presentations and participate in activities for networking to external groups and individuals

Technical Support

  • Support with analysing current policies and methods of operations for quality, efficiency, and cost considerations for opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Supports with Representation of the FLGC in the development and testing of new products/services/systems
  • Initiates department planning and budgeting process.

General

  • Coordinating with internal departments and external financial agencies to resolve escalated issues that may impact the Client's Financial Plan.

  • Supports FPMs in fulfilling JMMB’s contract with the Client through after-sales service, which includes:
    • Managing both simple and complex transaction requests.
    • Responding to Client inquiries regarding their financial portfolios including investment and credit components.
    • Interpreting market events and trends for the Client.
    • Listening to and assisting in defining and addressing Client concerns and escalating the situation when necessary.

  • Promotes the Project Management culture for the transformation and continuous improvement of the JMMB and its associated companies.

EDUCATION, TRAINING & WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Master’s degree in management, Economics, Finance or Marketing.
  • Exposure to and experience in Project Management.
  • Exposure to credit policies and practices would be an asset
  • Understanding of the General Insurance market and associated risks
  • Licensed by the Financial Services Commission or a suitable candidate for licensing. Completed or in pursuit of insurance sales licence (e.g. Ordinary Long Term Insurance [OLT]).
  • Expert knowledge of the financial sector instruments, market operations, laws, regulations, ethics and professional jargon. JMMB’s Financial Planning Services (FPS) Level II Certificate.
  • Proficient in the use of computers, including wordprocessing and spreadsheets. Working knowledge of presentation programmes and equipment.
  • Excellent written, oral and non-verbal communication skills. Familiarity with one of the major foreign languages would be an asset.
  • Minimum of five (5) years work experience, at least three (3) at the supervisory level, in a customer service or sales function, preferably in a financial institution. Direct experience in Money Market Operations is also required.
