The Manager, Capital Markets will lead the company's funding strategy through the development and sale of asset-backed securitised investment products.
The Manager, Capital Markets will lead the company's funding strategy through the development and sale of asset-backed securitised investment products and serve as the subject matter expert for all new products and the management of the assets in the company's product portfolio. Responsible for generating ideas and opportunities through research, financial modelling and industry analysis, establishing and growing relationships with potential and existing customers and investors.
Investment product development pipeline and asset management processes
- Leads the development and pricing of structured financial products from asset-backed securities
- Verifies that product development is based on sound forecasting, simulation exercises and testing of alternative scenarios
- Negotiates and leads the execution of agreements and deal documentation
- Directs and coordinates with the Legal/ Corporate Secretarial Department and regulatory agencies for the preparation of required documents and approvals with respect to the
- Verifies that due diligence is conducted on securitisation opportunities, including market research and analysis, risk- based modelling, asset valuation and legal and regulatory compliance risk assessments.
- Verifies the adherence to service level agreements and reviews performance regularly with service partners Grows total revenue associated with structured financial products including the following: asset-backed securities, commercial mortgage-backed securities and other securitised instruments.
Drives the effective asset and fund management efforts of the Company
- Meets and exceeds targets by sourcing new sales opportunities
- Closes new business opportunities their value proposition in collaboration with the Marketing and Corporate Communications Department
- Conducts client meetings and detailed presentations Leads the identification, assessment and selection of high securitised investment products
- Maintains registers of investors with securitised investments Manages the administration of securitised investments on behalf of investors
Develops, reviews, amends and implements departmental policies and procedures
- Verifies the monitoring and closure of any identified risk and operational issues
- Sets standards and processes for operational excellence and continuous improvement to achieve optimal efficiency.
Prepares, reviews, and submits reports as required by the Company and Regulatory Agencies
- Monitors product portfolio performance, compliance and risk infrastructure
- Verifies the completion of required reviews and reports Provides timely reports for all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, meetings, presentations, closed sales and follow up/pipeline activities
- Reviews and submits reports and dashboards that drive an understanding of the ongoing financial performance of the companys' investment products for management reporting.
- Reviews and submits regular sales reports and analyses including sales metrics statistics, sales leads records and conversion rates.
- Verifies the development of cash flow project models.
Manages a high performing team of professionals within the Capital Markets department.
Required Qualifications, Experience and Skills
- Bachelors' degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business Administration or related discipline.
- A minimum of seven (7) years' experience in Capital Markets and Investments.
- Expert knowledge of the securities and capital markets, securitization, structured finance, risk management and portfolio management.
- Expert strategic networking ability.
- Expert strategic orientation skills.
- In depth computer proficiency, with in-depth knowledge of Microsoft office suite of products.
