Maintenance Technician (Manufacturing Sector)

Overview: Our client is well-established Manufacturer of FMCG products that have become a household name across the Caribbean. Due to growth, they urgently require a proven Maintenance Technician to assist with keeping the production machinery working at optimum efficiency.

Duties & Responsibilities:

•  Carries out preventive maintenance checks, inspections and repairs on mechanical plants and equipment.
• Troubleshoots and rectifies mechanical plant and equipment problems in accordance with established standards and specifications.
• Installs and tests mechanical plants and equipment
• Diagnoses recurring mechanical equipment or systems problems, recommends corrective action and effects necessary repairs.
• Assists in the commissioning of new equipment.
• ​ Carries out basic welding functions required for breakdowns

Requirements

• A minimum of two (2) years’ working experience in a manufacturing environment.
  
• A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a welding, fabricating or similar environment.
  
• City and Guilds certificate in Engineering Skills.
  
• Diploma in Mechanical Maintenance or equivalent.
