Maintenance Technician - Kitchen Maintenance

Are you a skilled technician with experience in repairing and maintaining commercial kitchen equipment? We are looking for a Kitchen Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our team!

GCG Group Jamaica is a member of the GCG Group which operates in 21 countries across the US, Caribbean, Central and South America. We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated individual to join the team in the capacity of Kitchen Technician at our Montego Bay location.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain, service, troubleshoot, repair, and operate kitchen and electrical equipment, including bakery, production kitchen, laundry, dishwashing, and related appliances.

• Perform routine inspections, cleaning, and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment operates efficiently.

• Log and manage work requests in the maintenance system, ensuring timely completion of repairs.

• Install new kitchen appliances, repair leaks, and replace worn-out or defective parts.

• Ensure electrical and plumbing systems related to kitchen operations are functioning properly.

• Maintain an organized inventory of tools and spare parts for efficient servicing.

• Adhere to safety regulations and operational standards when handling repairs and installations.

• Assist with other maintenance-related tasks as assigned.

ACADEMIC & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 

• Level 3 electrical certification or any other certification in a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial kitchen equipment repair.
• Extensive knowledge of kitchen equipment maintenance and repair.
• Basic plumbing and electrical knowledge.
• Strong prioritization and problem-solving skills.
