Maintenance Technician

LASCO Manufacturing Limited, a leader in the food manufacturing industry, seeks to recruit experienced individuals for the position of MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN.

With continuous improvement a key part of our culture, LASCO Manufacturing is able to drive operational efficiencies and adapt to an evolving landscape, maintaining the highest levels of manufacturing excellence and we’re looking for skilled and dynamic Maintenance Technicians to join our team.

Reporting to the Maintenance Department, the ideal candidate will execute the following duties:  

• Perform routine maintenance on blow mold machines, bottle filling machines, case packers, labellers, palletizers, and ozonators and other equipment. 

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues with automated production equipment. 

• Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and to minimize downtime. 

• Diagnose equipment failures and implement correct preventative mechanisms, performing root cause analysis where necessary. 

The ideal candidate should preferably have the following skills and knowledge:  

• Knowledge of Blow Mold and Bottle Filling Machines;   

• Knowledge of Case Packers and Labelling Machines, Palletizers;   

• Electrical and Mechanical knowledge and training on automated food manufacturing equipment;  

• Good troubleshooting skills;  

• Knowledge of electrical circuits and how to read electrical diagrams;    

• Have mechanical hands-on experience;  

• Having experience in an automated food manufacturing facility is a plus;   

• Strong electrical background and experience is a plus.  

Education and Experience:  

• Tertiary training in Mechanical or Electrical Technology;   

• Minimum two (2) years’ experience in a similar position;

• Experience in the Food Manufacturing environment.
