Maintenance Technician

Technicians will be responsible for mechanical and/or electrical maintenance, repair, servicing and installation of appliances, equipment and machinery used in our production facilities and retail outlets.

Job Summary

Technicians will be responsible for mechanical and/or electrical maintenance, repair, servicing and installation of appliances, equipment and machinery used in our production facilities and retail outlets. The technicians will also ensure machinery and equipment are operating within specifications and producing at optimum levels.

Responsibilities, Skills & Competencies

• Performing repairs and troubleshooting breakdowns and malfunctions
• Conducting general electrical and mechanical maintenance
• Installing and performing diagnostic tests on equipment and machinery
• Conducting preventative maintenance
• Performing quality testing and inspections
• Developing and implementing mechanical and electrical maintenance plans to prevent costly appliance and equipment breakdowns
• Proficient in diagnostic testing and mechanical design 
• Knowledge of power tools and fault testing
• Knowledge of electrical circuits and panels
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Good communication skills
• Great organizational and time management skills

Qualifications, Requirements and Experiences

• Diploma and/or HEART Certification, level 2 and above
• At least two (2) years’ experience working in a similar capacity
• Holder of a valid drivers’ license
