Maintenance Technician needed for 5-star luxury villa resort in Westmoreland, Jamaica

Summary:
The Bluefields Bay Maintenance Team is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our entire facility. This role is crucial to maintaining a safe, efficient, and productive work environment. You will play a key role in proactively identifying and resolving maintenance issues, as well as completing scheduled preventative maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities:
General Maintenance:
Perform routine and preventative maintenance procedures across various disciplines (electrical, plumbing, refrigeration).
Conduct repairs on building components including windows, doors, locks, etc.
Execute and document daily and weekly maintenance activities based on checklists (and using the Maintenance Application)
Install and repair electrical wiring and equipment.
Maintain building security by repairing electrical equipment, control circuits, and locks.
Respond to and resolve emergency maintenance requests promptly.
Maintain comprehensive records of completed maintenance procedures.
Facility Maintenance:
Actively maintain all company assets, ensuring their efficient operation and adherence to safety standards.
Repair and paint drywall and plaster.
Assemble and relocate furniture.
Change light fixtures and bulbs.
Perform plumbing repairs, replacements, and installations.
Conduct routine pool maintenance.
Carry out carpentry repairs and installations (doors, shelves, countertops).
Address minor electrical device malfunctions.
Perform regular safety inspections of the facilities.
Maintain the grounds and security systems (fencing, gates).
Operate company vehicles with caution and responsibility when directed.

Requirements:
At least 2-3 years of experience in a related maintenance field (electrical, plumbing, facilities management, etc.)
Post-secondary education and/or a Technical Trade Certificate/Diploma in a relevant field (electrical, carpentry, etc.) is preferred.
Highly motivated and capable of working independently.
Strong understanding of local workplace safety regulations and compliance requirements.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Outstanding time management and project management abilities.
