Line Technician

SUMMARY

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair procedures on the company’s mechanical equipment and utility systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct minor and major repair of all mechanical equipment. 
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance procedures on mechanical equipment in keeping with schedules; inspects belts, checks fluid levels, replaces filters, greases bearings, seals, etc.; repairs or replaces broken parts in addition to  clean and inspect compressor, generator and water system.
• Conduct routine inspection of boilers and maintain quality standards through the treatment of water.
• Conduct building repairs as assigned including replacing windows; repairs doors, door locks, etc.
• Execute and record daily and weekly maintenance activities in keeping with checklists.
• Conduct electrical installation for wiring and equipment; new electrical services, replaces and repairs wiring as needed.
• Conduct repairs on electrical equipment and control circuits; replaces faulty electrical switches; repairs refrigeration equipment including electrical locks and control panels to maintain building security as needed.
• Actively respond and execute emergency maintenance requests as required.
• Maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
• Obtain estimates for supplies, repair parts; orders parts as needed.
• Assist in the startup, operation and conduct the servicing of machines.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Level 3 vocational certification in mechanics and/or electronics
• Minimum of three  CSES inclusive of Mathematics & English
• Minimum two (2) years of experience in a similar capacity
