Maintenance Technician - Industrial

We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician - Industrial to join our team. The role involves maintaining and repairing the company’s vehicle fleet to meet industry standards, ensuring efficient operation and certification.

GCG Group Jamaica is a member of the GCG Group which operates in 21 countries across the US, Caribbean, Central and South America. We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated individual to join the team in the capacity of Maintenance Technician-Industrial at our Montego Bay location.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform daily service checks on trucks and utility vehicles, including maintaining optimal fluid levels and refueling as necessary.

• Administer the logging in/out of vehicles and consult with the Supervisor on vehicle availability for operations.

• Serve as the first responder to malfunctions and complaints related to company vehicles.

• Conduct monthly safety checks on catering trucks with other maintenance personnel.

• Assist with repairs and maintenance of other equipment, including machinery, plumbing, electrical, and refrigeration systems.

• Clean and lubricate machine parts, replace defective parts, and prepare materials for maintenance personnel.

• Perform additional tasks as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor, ensuring all assignments meet the required standards.

ACADEMIC & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 

• Tertiary level certification in Industrial, Mechanical or Automotive engineering from a reputable institution.
• 3+ years’ of proven experience in a similar capacity.
• Proven knowledge of diesel engines, gas engines and hydraulics.
• Valid driver's license with minimum weight 4000kg.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
