Under the direction of the Plant and Quarry Manager, the Maintenance Planner is responsible of improving work force productivity and work quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning and coordination of labor, parts and material, and equipment access.

Objective: 

Under the direction of the Plant and Quarry Manager, the Maintenance Planner is responsible of improving work force productivity and work quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning and coordination of labor, parts and material, and equipment access.

 

Main Responsibilities include: 

  • Plan and schedule corrective and preventive maintenance activities by task and priority level.
  • Coordinate daily as well as weekly planning meetings related to maintenance.
  • Manage spare parts and alignment between the maintenance department and procurement.
  • Manage work orders, documentation, and assets within the computerized maintenance management system.
  • Coordinate plant-wide shutdowns and equipment downtime.
  • Keeping a schedule of required maintenance and completed work.
  • Maintain records of the work history of each piece of equipment and work with plant managers and other personnel to schedule regular maintenance on all machines.
  • Provide technical assistance for supporting entire on-site maintenance activities.
  • Order and keep an inventory of tools, supplies and parts needed for various types of equipment.
  • Develop manuals covering training, maintenance and reporting procedures.
  • Conducting Root-cause and failure analysis.

 

Required Education / Expertise / Skills: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or other related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (strong competency in Excel)
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Good documentation and reporting skills
  • Flexibility to meet operational requests

 

Required Experience:

  • Minimum experience of 2 years in Maintenance or Maintenance Planning, or other related experience.
