The Maintenance Manager’s key responsibility is to contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice maintenance vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance as well as to contribute to new business initiatives and projects.

 

Qualifications and Experience Levels:

 

  • First degree in engineering, industrial operations or in any other related field.
  • 5 years’ experience within the field of engineering or maintenance management.
  • Experience of managing Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibilities for maintenance
  • Understanding of manufacturing and procurement

 

Responsibilities:

  •  Develop a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule ensuring compliance.
  • Monitor designated buildings, plant, and facilities to ensure readiness for purpose.
  • Develop clear accountability for maintenance material combined with a strategy to manage expenditure.
  • Manage the process of the introduction of new machinery through to full installation in collaboration with all relevant parties.
  • Manage the process of disposal of obsolete machinery, plants, and equipment within the confines of the lawful SoPs.
  • Work as part of the Management team to share ideas and improve operation, recommending, supporting, and implementing continuous improvement activities and timely delivery on projects.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external suppliers and contractors to ensure optimal performance.
  • Ensure an effective training, coaching and development of staff to support the evolving function of the resort.
