The incumbent is responsible for managing, planning and coordinating activities and resources required for the proper security conditions of the building facilities of the University and the day-to-day repairs, maintenance and new construction of the assets of the University.

The incumbent is responsible for managing, planning and coordinating activities and resources required for the proper security conditions of the building facilities of the University and the day-to-day repairs, maintenance and new construction of the assets of the University.
Academic Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering/Maintenance Management, or a related discipline
- Post Graduate certification in a related field
- At least five (5) years’ experience in facilities management
Additional Requirements:
- Sound knowledge of construction and service contract documents and specifications
- General knowledge of various skilled trades (plumbing, electrical systems repair and installation)
- Comprehensive knowledge of ground maintenance including electronics, plumbing and electrical systems
- Knowledge of budgeting, cost estimates and environmental policies affecting facility maintenance
- Excellent administrative, communication, human relations, interpersonal and supervisory skills
- Advanced level Microsoft Office Suite skills and database management tools
- Working knowledge of UTech policies and procedures
