Maintenance Leader

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Leader to oversee the maintenance department, ensuring the upkeep and repair of plant, equipment, machinery, vehicles, and human resources.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in repairs, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment.

• Monitor Daily Line Maintenance Checks to ensure job completion.

• Monitor the use and inventory of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment, initiating reordering when necessary

• Ensure the repair and maintenance of Ground Support Equipment.

• Prepare and analyze daily serviceability reports, making recommendations where necessary.

• Establish and maintain a maintenance record management system to track the status of each piece of equipment.

• Ensure compliance with all safety and security procedures of the company

• Leading and managing the maintenance staff, assigning tasks, and providing training as necessary.

• Monitoring maintenance work to ensure it meets safety standards and operational requirements.

• Preventive Maintenance Implementation- Developing and enforcing preventive maintenance schedules for GSE to minimize downtime.

• Diagnosing equipment problems and coordinating timely repairs or replacements.

• Keeping detailed records of maintenance activities and preparing reports for management on team performance and equipment status.

• Assisting in budget preparation for maintenance operations and managing costs effectively.

ACADEMIC & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Tertiary level qualification in Mechanical Engineering / Maintenance or minimum of five (5) years' related experience in airline/airport operations.

• Strong managerial competencies, including leadership and communication skills.

• Knowledge of ICAO standards

• Strong problem-solving abilities and time management skills.

• High level of confidentiality and integrity.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; fluency in English is required, Spanish is an asset.
