Maintenance Coordinator

Maintenance Coordinator – Barrett Town

 

The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for the execution of maintenance tasks for facilities and equipment. Where needed, the maintenance coordinator also organizes, manages and oversees the execution of maintenance tasks for facilities and equipment by relevant external service providers. This position ensures that all maintenance work is carried out efficiently, safely, and in a timely manner to minimize downtime, maintain operational continuity always seeking to ensure a safe and healthy living environment.

 

Required qualifications & experience

Minimum of 3 years related working experience in maintenance

Maintenance/Repairs certification from HEART/NCTVET or recognized institution

Strong technical proficiency in plumbing, electrical or other general building maintenance skill areas.

 

 

Required knowledge and skills

  • Demonstrated skill in the standard methods, materials and equipment employed in general artisan functions (e.g., electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting and locksmith work, etc.)
  • Proficiency in computer applications
  • Ability to prepare, manage and execute monthly maintenance budget
  • Ability to liaise with external suppliers and stakeholders to procure goods and services within organization’s recommended guidelines and procedures
  • Ability to supervise external contractors/service providers.
  • Ability to identify potential maintenance issues and ensure quality control in all tasks.
