Maintenace Coordinator

The ideal candidate will be required to plan schedule and coordinate all plant maintenance work including requested work, service contracts, corrective predictive and preventive maintenance, and to provide reports on Plant’s Non-Productive Time (NPT).

Job Title: Maintenance Coordinator

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Prepare weekly reports on Plant’s Non-Productive Time (NPT).
2. Process, prioritise and assign work orders to maintenance personnel, and determine the best approach for work order completion including obtaining necessary schematics, checking parts availability and assessing job related risks with technicians and senior management, where necessary, before tasks are assigned.
3. Develop daily and weekly work schedules of maintenance jobs and balance the department’s work load.
4. Act as liaison between the maintenance and production departments for the availability of plant equipment and/or machineries for service and repairs.
5. Collate and catalogue equipment and maintenance records.
6. Conduct field walk-through and audits to identify and analyse effectiveness of maintenance work and provide input for refining task instructions and machine modifications.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification from a recognised tertiary institution.
• Five (5) years experience in plant maintenance.

Specific Knowledge (however acquired) Required to Start:

• Sound knowledge of company’s maintenance policies and procedures.
• Sound knowledge of company’s safety policies and procedures.
• Sound knowledge of Basic Engineering principles.
• Working knowledge of general machinery and equipment repair techniques.
• Working knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
