To maintain mechanical systems of container handling equipment – mobile harbour cranes, stackers, container handlers, terminal tractors, bomb carts and man lift – to a high performance standard
Maintenance of all container handling equipment, utility motor vehicles, and miscellaneous equipment as per manufacturers specifications
Minimizing downtime of equipment by developing effective and speedy solutions for malfunctions.
Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 3-5 years practical experience
Experience with maintenance of heavy equipment such as in the construction and port industries will be an asset
Must be computer literate.
Holder of a general Driver’s License
Knowledge of the shipping industry would be an asset
Ability to troubleshoot technical issues with hydraulics, diesel engines, transmission, steering and braking systems is essential
Ability to focus on preventative/predictive maintenance activities and minimize corrective maintenance activities is required
Excellent time management skills.
