SALARY SCALE: $5,612,841.27 - $ 6,418,683.77 per annum.
JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for the maintenance and repair of engine room machinery, deck equipment, and other marine machinery across a fleet of vessels, including buoy tenders, pilot boats, work boats, and sea-walk floating piers. The role involves providing support for navigational aids maintenance, serving as an Engineer on buoy tenders, and assisting in workshops when not on specific marine assignments.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Valid Marine Engineering Certificate of Competency STCW III/1 Officer in Charge of an Engineering Watch.
- At least 1-3 years of sea-going experience in marine engineering, with a minimum of six months as an Engineer, Watch Keeping Officer on ocean-going vessels of 750 KW and above at the operational level.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist Chief Engineer in maintaining machinery onboard buoy tender.
- Perform watchkeeping duties on board the vessel as required.
- Diagnose and repair marine equipment, machinery, and malfunctioning equipment.
- Assist Chief Engineer in ensuring adequate maintenance of spares, oil levels, and tools in compliance with classification society requirements.
- Facilitate electrical and welding maintenance and repairs to navigational aids serviced by buoy tender when required.
- Assist in bunkering vessel following international procedures.
- Support the workshop in troubleshooting and repairing other machinery and equipment as directed.
- Execute directives from Superintendent, Marine Engineer regarding maintenance and operation of all other vessels and marine equipment.
- Ensure engine rooms machinery space on all vessels is maintained in a clean and safe condition.
- Assist in maintaining vessels' machinery to flag state/classification society standards.
- Maintain accurate logbook records and ensure timely updates of computerized maintenance management system (CHAMPS) work orders.
