MANAGER & SUPERVISOR - GROUNDS & LANDSCAPE

Responsible to lead, direct, track and monitor the servicing of current grounds, landscaping and pest control contractual activities to ensure contract compliance, timely response to requests and adherence to SOP's.

Reporting to the General Manager – Facilities Management Services, the Manager is responsible to lead, direct, track and monitor the servicing of current  grounds, landscaping and pest control contractual activities to ensure contract compliance, timely response to requests, the existence and practice of effective management controls with regard to contract renewals or extension, adherence to standard operating procedures; timely delivery of  service and adequate records management; as well as negotiation of new contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducts site visits to prospective clients’ location to secure information relevant to the preparation of Grounds, Landscaping & Pest Control Business proposals.
• Prepare response to tenders and provide quotations on a timely basis, as stipulated by company established timeframe.
• Monitor and Coordinate the departmental activities to secure information and prepare proposals for Grounds & Landscaping and Pest Control services.
• Guide the activities of the Grounds & Landscaping and Pest Control department to ensure the existence and practice of effective management controls and adherence to standard operating procedures and that the service deliveries meet the required stipulations and standards.
• Maintains direct contact with the Clients at various locations, which will involves travel, repetitive and follow-up action and constant dialogue.

Qualification & Experience:

• Tertiary level education in Agricultural Studies or Business Administration
• Certification in Horticultural studies would be an asset
• A minimum of three (3) years working experience in a similar capacity with at least one (1) year’s exposure to Landscaping and Plant Husbandry
• Experience in or exposure to the Tender processes, Contracts award and Administration and Grounds & Landscaping techniques
• Pest Control License
