LOSS PREVENTION SUPERVISOR

The Loss Prevention Supervisor will report to the Head of Risk & Compliance and oversees a team of Loss Prevention Officers, ensuring the accurate validation and auditing of data related to truck loading and unloading procedures, inventory movements, and other company assets. This role is key in supporting the company’s efforts to mitigate losses, prevent fraud, and ensure the integrity of data used for decision-making and operational efficiency. The Loss Prevention Supervisor will work closely with other departments, leading governance meetings, offering leadership and expertise to ensure best practices in data validation and loss prevention strategies.

Major Responsibilities:

• Supervise and mentor Loss Prevention Officer, providing guidance to optimize team performance as well as conduct regular performance evaluations.
• Oversee the process of validating data related to truck loading and unloading process, SAP inventory movements, and transactions related to other assets to ensure accuracy and consistency with company records.
• Ensure irregularities or discrepancies are appropriately corrected within 24 hours and fraudulent attempts are escalated to the Head of Risk and Compliance.
• Collaborate with other relevant departments to develop and implement strategies that minimize financial loss, fraud, and theft.
• Prepare and present regular reports on data validation activities, team performance, and any identified risks or discrepancies to the Head of Risk & Compliance.
• Maintain accurate records of data validation procedures, discrepancies found, and corrective actions taken.
• Review and refine data validation processes regularly to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and streamline workflows

Academic qualifications and experience required for the job:

• Degree in Business administration, Risk Management or Certified Fraud Professional
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Loss Prevention, Inventory Management and/or Fraud Investigation
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience, with a track record of managing teams effectively
• Must own and operate a reliable Motor Vehicle and have a valid Jamaican Driver's License
