Booking shipments with suppliers/ forwarders Liaising with shipping companies Preparing various payment requests Liaising with customs brokers Liaising with haulage companies Booking marine insurance where required Processing marine insurance claims where required

Key Requirements:

- Manage the scheduling and excecution of domestic and international shipping operations.

- Handle all customs documentation and procedures for thre clearing for shipments, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

- Work closely with customs brokers to faciliate the smooth clearance of goods and resolve any issues that arise during the process

- Serve as a casting clerk by accurately calculating the costs associated with logistics operations and maintaining organized records.

- Process improvement: Identify opporunities to streamline logistics processes and implement best practices to enhance efficiency.

- Oversee and manage the organistaion's inventory to ensure accurate and up-to -date stock levels.

- Conduct regular and comprehencsive stock counts to verify inventoryy accuracy and identify discrepancies.

- Work closely with the inventory team to coordinate activties related to stock management, spot checks, loss prevention and reporting.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

- At least a tertiary-level qualification, preferably in Business Adminstration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.

- Minimum of 2-3 Years' experience in a similar capacity.

- Exceptional Organizational and multitasking abililies.

- Strong communication skills.

- Knowledge of local and International customs regulations, would be an asset.

- High attention to detail

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
