Overview: Our client is a niche player in the Food & Beverages Distribution sector in Barbados who specialize in promoting products sourced from Europe. With a strong track record of placing brands at Retail outlets they are seeking to add a skilled and experienced Logistics Operative (Truck/Forklift) to join their team.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Operate and maintain trucks and forklifts in a safe and efficient manner.
• Transport goods and materials to and from specified locations.
• Load and unload cargo using forklifts and other equipment.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.
• Ensure compliance with all traffic and safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate logs and records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance.
• Collaborate with team members to meet operational goals.
Requirements
• Valid Heavy Duty License with at least 3 years of experience.
• Valid Police Certificate of Character.
• CXC English and Mathematics are required.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations.
• Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
