To create truck loads for delivery to customers whilst meeting requested dates and timeframes.
To key/transfer information from COSACS into the logistics app and to ensure accuracy of same.
To interact with truck drivers to ensure that any special requirements for customers are taken into consideration to create a logical delivery route that is effective and efficient.
To monitor the logistics app during the day in order to immediately action any failed deliveries that may be rectified so as to limit inconvenience to customers.
To advise customers of out-of-stock situations and time delays.
Liaise with picking clerk on optimum routing and time frames.
Liaise with picking clerk and other warehouse clerks to facilitate smooth process with regards to exchanges and reselections.
To follow the process for any deliveries not actionable during the day by placing them in exception with reasons.
To produce and analyze route activity reports with a view to improving performance.
To follow up with a predetermined random number of calls each day to gauge customer satisfaction.
Perform any other reasonable and related duties as delegated from time to time by Management.
Knowledge, Skills and Competencies Required:
Strong analytical and decision-making skills
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Office including excellent Excel skills.
Self-motivated team player who has ability to work without close supervision
Ability to lead teams effectively
Excellent interpersonal skills particularly tact and patience
Displays persistence and commitment
Goal oriented and copes well under pressure
Education and Experience Required:
Degree or Diploma in Supervisory Management or related area.
2 – 3 years’ experience in logistics management or coordination
