Learning and Development Officer

 

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Learning and Development Officer to join our dynamic team. The incumbent will support the Group Learning and Development Manager and play a crucial role in developing and implementing effective training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of our employees.

 

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Learning and Development, Human Resources, or a related field. (Relevant certifications or equivalent work experience will also be considered.)
  • At least two (2) years proven experience as a Learning and Development Officer or a similar role, with a track record of designing and delivering effective training programs.

  

Key competencies:

  • Excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple training programs and priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in using training software and learning management systems.
  • Familiarity with instructional design principles and adult learning methodologies.
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Possess an unquestionable character, high level of confidentiality, integrity and work ethic

 

The core functions of this position include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Design, develop, and deliver comprehensive training programs for employees at all levels, aligning with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify skill gaps and training requirements within the organization.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to create training materials, including presentations, e-learning modules, and interactive activities.
  • Coordinate and schedule training sessions, ensuring availability of trainers, resources, and training facilities.
  • Deliver engaging and interactive training sessions using a variety of instructional techniques and formats.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, surveys, and feedback, and make necessary improvements.
