Learning & Development Officer

(Kingston, Jamaica)

   KEY FUNCTIONS:

• Develop and implement training programs that align with organizational goals and employee development needs arising from performance reviews
• Design, develop and implement learning programmes to achieve agreed employee engagement and performance levels and Revenue targets
• Develop or facilitate onboarding programs for new employees to ensure a smooth transition and integration into the organization
• Organize and facilitate learning events, workshops, and seminars to promote knowledge-sharing and collaboration
• Explore and implement e-learning/digital solutions to enhance accessibility and flexibility in learning opportunities
• Manage and maintain an online learning platform, ensuring its effectiveness and relevance
• Conduct needs assessments to identify learning priorities and evaluate the effectiveness of existing programs

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Psychology, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Learning & Development practitioner in a related environment
• Proven experience in learning and development, including program design and implementation
• Familiarity with adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Exceptional organizational and project management skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Tech-savvy, with experience in e-learning platforms and training management systems
• Analytical mindset for assessing learning needs and program effectiveness
• Commitment to staying abreast of industry trends and best practices in learning and development

The Learning & Development Officer may be required to travel, to deliver training sessions, embed development initiatives, attend conferences, or collaborate with teams.
