Laundry Team Leader

The Laundry Team Leader is responsible for the supervision of the laundry department. This includes overseeing laundry production, inventory, ordering and machine maintenance. In addition, this position includes all supervision of laundry employees and general office duties. 

Duties include:

• Oversee the daily operations of the laundry department
• Train and supervise laundry staff
• Ensure the quality of the linens and uniforms
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate supplies
• Maintain equipment and report any maintenance needs
• Coordinate with other departments for timely pick-up and delivery of laundry items
• Create and implement schedules for laundry staff
• Collaborate with housekeeping and other departments to meet guest needs. 

• A minimum of a Diploma in Hospitality/ Tourism Management of relevant field;
• A minimum of two years of progressive hotel Rooms experience; Previous laundry experience is preferred.

• Refined verbal and written communication skills;
• Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds;
• Service oriented style with professional presentations skills;
• Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service and ability to improve the bottom line;
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel;
• Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills
• Willing to work all shifts; weekends, overnight and holidays.
• Physically able to do considerable amount of lifting, pushing, stretching and bending, with moderate amount of weight.
