To provide supervision and skills in the care and culture of plants, flowers and the maintenance of Ambergris Cay resort grounds. Responsible for supervising, planning, and assigning task/works for gardener.

 Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plans, prioritize, assign, supervise and participate in the work of garden staff responsible for ground and landscape maintenance operation.
• Plans, schedule, assigns and supervise the landscaping, seeding, weeding, cultivating and general care.
• Plans and supervises cultivation, pruning, spraying and transplanting of shrubs and trees.
• Prepare working sketches for the development. improvement or expansion of landscape areas
• Teach and enforce safety regulations.
• Monitor jobs of gardeners to ensure quality output and compliance with the job standards.
• Perform duties of a landscaper
• Responsible in production of plants at the nursery
• Perform the most technical and complex task of the work unit.
• Maintain records concerning operations and programs.
• Maintain effective communication with managers and line staff.
• Perform related duties as directed by the grounds manager.

 Requirements:

• 2-3 years minimum experience
• Certification in the field
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
