The Labour Relations Officer is charged with assisting the HR Department with all Industrial Relations matters at CGA ltd.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for providing IR support to Managers/Supervisors.
Responsible for conducting disciplinary hearings, investigatory interviews, provide advice on disciplinary action
Responsible for drafting and reviewing employment documents; such as employment contracts, company policies/procedures, disciplinary letters, request for explanation, request for witness statement, etc. in accordance with T&T Labour Laws and employment best practices.
Assist in providing support at the Ministry of Labour and Industrial Court matters.
Attend meeting regarding grievance and disciplinary issues in the workplace and recording of meeting minutes
Attend meeting with Union Branch representative (statutory and non-crisis) and recording of meeting minutes
To be the first point of call for all IR matters
Assist in the drafting of Collective Agreement and take part in the Collective Bargaining Process
Perform other related duties as required by the CHRO
