Laboratory Assistant I/ Driver

The Laboratory Assistant I/Driver performs routine non-technical laboratory and custodial duties in addition to routine unskilled laboratory tasks.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful applicant will be required to

• Perform Routine non-technical laboratory and custodial duties
• Perform routine unskilled laboratory tasks
• Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies
• Drive the Bureau’s vehicle and transport staff and equipment

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

1. Training as evidenced by the possession of five CXC or GCE ‘O’ Level passes including Mathematics, English and       Chemistry.

2. The individual must possess a valid driver’s permit. 

3. A certificate in Defensive driving.

4. knowledge of Laboratory procedures and the use of Engineering, Electrical and Laboratory equipment will be an asset. 

5. Two (2) years experience in a similar position is preferred and the incumbent must be able to work with a team andpossess good communication skills.

REMUNERATION

Salary will be paid in Range 19 (TTD $5,494 - TTD $6,591 - TTD $7,046) and a Gratuity of 20% will be paid at the end of the contract period.
