LOGISTICS, SALES & MARKETING MANAGER

(MANUFACTURING)

Job Summary:

The Logistics, Sales & Marketing Manager provides support to the Regional General Manager and is responsible for all logistics, sales and marketing functions for the Company’s local and regional products, inclusive of but not limited to the following:

  1. Responsible for all logistics, commercial and sales functions for the Company’s products.
  2. Research and develop sales and marketing strategies for the expansion of products and services regionally.
  3. Responsible for local procurement, warehouse management and delivery of major materials for Jamaica in collaboration with regional suppliers.
  4. Responsible for all marketing and public relations functions inclusive of assisting with the implementation of an online presence on several media. 

Qualifications:

  1. Degree in Sales & Marketing or Business Administration with emphasis on sales or its equivalent.
  2. A Master’s Degree from a recognized Business Institution is an asset.
  3. Certification in Project Management and supervisory management are an asset.

Experience:

  1. 5 years’ experience in sales and marketing in a manufacturing related business.
  2. 3 years working knowledge of general management, supervisory management and product development in a manufacturing-based organization.
  3. 3 years’ experience in logistics management with exposure to customs, export and brokerage related activities.

Key Competences:

  1. Working knowledge of:
    • Sales strategies development and management in multiple markets locally and regionally
    • Marketing packages that can meet desired product goals locally and regionally
    • Warehousing, export, handling and shipping legislation requirements
    • Inventory management systems and procedures 
    • Related Reports preparation and technical / business letter writing with proven competence in all MS applications/
    • SYSPRO Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Reporting or related software applications would be an asset.
  1. Ability to:
    • Use sales metrics to conduct and direct research and analysis
    • Determine the financial needs of the marketing plan and develop and manage related budgets.
    • Efficiently manage and maintain physical warehouse space for local sales, as well as import and export demands
    • Multi-task and work with and or lead a multi-disciplinary team
  2. Keen commitment to quality and occupational safety standards and practices
  3. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be highly numerate

  1. Proven track record of successful marketing strategies and sales metrics to expand and track product growth and development,
  2. Keen creativity and thinking outside of the box to drive product expansion in new markets.
  3. The highest level of confidentiality and ethical standards and practices.
  4. The highest level of professionalism and customer focused service at all levels with deadline oriented, excellent work ethics and practices.
  5. Working knowledge of industrial relations, good manufacturing practices and occupational safety standards and practices.
