LOGISTICS ASSISTANT
Job Title: LOGISTICS ASSISTANT
JOB PURPOSE
1. Coordinate all the areas involved within this position, such as forecasting, ordering and purchasing, storage, stock control and customs management.
2. Optimize service levels of the shops. ensuring that deliveries arrive on time; responsible for receiving the correct amount and quality of goods.
3. Coordinate local supply chain and logistics costs according to the budget.
4. Have a good relationship with customs, assuring the fulfillment of the country's legislation.
5. Coordinate with the airport operations team all matters related to this function.
6. Achieve the targets settled for this department.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Coordinate the local SC&L team (planners, customs, administration and warehouse)
2. Optimize all processes by analyzing them (from ordering planning to reverse logistics) together with HQ and the Country Manager.
3.Consider SC&L implications when dealing with local suppliers, together with the airport operations team.
4.Plan and control goods transportation and consolidation platforms, in coordination with HQ.
5. Tax control and supervision. Dealing, with customs possible issues.
6.Recommend and improve on policies for shop replenishment.
7.Ensure law enforcement (i.e. Health, Security, Hygiene, Environment and Quality).
Qualifications and experience
Degree – ideally with Business qualification.
More than 3 years of experience in similar role.
Previous experience in the airport and/or retail background will be appreciated.
Spanish language is a plus.
IT literate.
Commercial and numerate.
Good presentation and communication skills – written and verbal
Excellent negotiation skills.
Professional and pragmatic.
Team player.
