About Us

Nestled in the heart of the Dutch Caribbean, Sacred Heart School provides a vibrant and inclusive environment where children from diverse backgrounds come together to learn and grow. With a strong focus on creativity, exploration, and holistic development, we strive to make the classroom a magical place for every child.
We are looking for a teacher with a preference for our kindergarten program which serves children aged 4-6, offering a nurturing space where they can take their first steps in education while exploring their creativity, curiosity, and sense of belonging.
The Role

-As a Kindergarten Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in creating a supportive and stimulating learning environment where young children thrive.
-Your responsibilities will include:
-Designing and delivering play-based learning experiences that spark curiosity and build foundational skills.
-Fostering social, emotional, and cognitive development through engaging and imaginative activities.
-Observing and assessing student progress to tailor learning experiences to their individual needs.
-Collaborating with colleagues and building strong relationships with parents to support each child’s growth.
-Creating a warm, safe, and inclusive classroom atmosphere where every child feels valued.

We are looking for:

-We’re seeking a passionate and creative teacher who thrives in an international, multicultural environment and has a true love for early childhood education.
-An enthusiastic motivated teacher who is in possession of a Teacher’s Degree (e.g. PABO or comparable/equivalent or another diploma).
-Has at least 3 years of recent work experience at a primary school.
-Strong adaptability, creativity, and enthusiasm.
-An inspiring vision on education; is well informed of current developments in primary education.
-Excellent communication skills in English (our language of instruction).
-Has experience with multilingual learners.
-Is able and willing to deal carefully with cultural differences.
-A collaborative spirit and willingness to engage with parents and the school community.
-Someone who, together with the SHS team, wants to take our educational level to a higher level.
Experience in inclusive education or diplomas / certificates related to Special Educational Needs (SEN) are highly appreciated.
We are looking for an all-rounded teacher. If you are not experienced or specifically interested in kindergarten, we still encourage you to apply, there could be more possibilities.
