Overview:

The Key Account Manager is responsible for developing, maintaining, and growing relationships with key accounts. This role involves strategic account planning, sales execution, and customer relationship management to achieve sales targets and increase market share.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Account Management:

  • Develop and implement strategic account plans for assigned key accounts.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at client organizations.

  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within key accounts.

  • Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to maximize profitability.

  • Monitor account performance and provide regular reports to management.

  • Sales Execution:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve or exceed sales targets.

  • Prepare and deliver effective sales presentations and proposals.

  • Conduct regular customer visits and meetings to understand their needs and challenges.

  • Provide excellent customer service and address customer inquiries promptly.

  • Market Analysis:

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.

  • Conduct market research to identify opportunities and threats.

  • Analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

  • Teamwork and Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, operations, finance) to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies.

  • Share best practices and knowledge with the sales team.

  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Proven track record in key account management or sales.

  • Strong understanding of the stationery and book industry.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Additional Skills:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

  • A proactive and results-oriented approach.

  • A valid driver's license.
