Key Account Manager

We are looking for passionate and highly motivated individuals to join our SALES TEAM

Massy Gas Products (Jamaica) Limited, the leading supplier of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) and a fully owned subsidiary of the Massy Group, a performance-driven conglomerate with operations across the English-speaking Caribbean, Colombia and South Florida seeks to fill the post of Key Account Managers.

  Main responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies and marketing plans; monitoring area performance to create differentiation for the Gas Pro brand and attain the desired levels of sales/volume objectives
  • Develop network and fill gaps as required in the distribution map
  • Manage distributors and points of sales ensuring sales are aligned to targets
  • Manage and maintain close relationship with the Satellite Plants and the Commercial Sector (Bulk) to ensure consistency of focus in order to achieve optimal sales and service levels.
  • Build superior customer relationships at all levels and minimize channel conflict
  • Analysing market activity of all players and assessing opportunities to business development and expansion
  • Effectively manage customers' account and ensure timely collection of receivables
  • Develop and generate sales referrals/leads, ability to conduct “cold calls” for new clients
  • Set and maintain the Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) standards at customers' locations

The successful candidates will report to the Sales Manager, must be the owner of a reliable motor vehicle and must be goal oriented.  This positions will be based in Kingston and Montego Bay.

 Qualifications and Experience

  • BSc in Business Administration/Management Studies with focus on Marketing
  • At least 2 years’ experience in sales
  • Experience in channel management and network development

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint etc.)
  • Good people management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal relations
  • Proven track record of business development and hitting sales targets
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven customer relationship management skills
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Must be a good team-player
  • Ability to plan strategically
  • Flexibility to work long hours including some weekends
