We are seeking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced individual to fill the position of Junior Compliance Specialist. The successful candidate will provide critical support to the Compliance Unit in monitoring and reviewing regulatory and legislative requirements, preparing the Bank’s response to any regulatory and legislative changes, completing relevant reports and following up with appropriate areas to ensure required policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to. Additionally, the position provides general support to the Compliance Specialist and Chief Compliance Officer.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Knowledge in conducting transaction monitoring reviews, deep investigations, and reporting suspicious activity related to money laundering and terrorist financing (SAR/STR filings), including wires and other anomalous activities
Create and analyze Internal Suspicious Transaction Reports generated from transaction monitoring reviews
Complete Adverse Finding, Enhance Due Diligence and other reports in line with assessment of customer’s profile and other findings.
Conduct reviews of Sanction Screening Alerts to determine any possible Money Laundering / Terrorist Financing risks.
Assist in the analysis of the Bank’s regulatory compliance posture and the development of control recommendations.
Assist with the analysis and interpretation of regulatory compliance requirements.
Review recent proposed activities by regulatory agencies to determine potential impact on company operations.
Provide Reports to Assistant Manager to facilitate preparation of monthly Board Report;
Strong experience with research tools such as Lexis Nexis or World-Check.
Collaborate with and foster relationships with other units/ departments by promptly responding to issues and concerns, ensuring that all queries are handled in a timely manner.
Maintain effective communication to ensure that all stakeholders are informed of the changes in the industry.
Perform other related duties assigned from time to time.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in Law, or significant equivalent experience
A minimum of two (2) years experience in the Compliance Field
At least three (3) years working experience in a banking or financial institution.
