This position is responsible to support the development and administration of contracts for goods and services to support the company’s corporate objectives.

POSITION SUMMARY:

 

This position is responsible to support the development and administration of contracts for goods and services to support the company’s corporate objectives. The incumbent ensures that these are obtained at the most competitive market price and the least cost of acquisition in accordance to the company’s policy and procedures governing the procurement of goods and services.

 

EDUCATION & SPECIALIZED TECHNIQUES

 

  1. Bachelors of Science in Business Administration, Management Studies Finance, Industrial Engineering, BSc in Logistics anda Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
  2. Accreditation as issued by the Institute Supply Management or any other accreditation Agency or Body.
  3. Excellent people management, team mobilizing, human relations and communication skills.
  4. Sound administrative, organizational and supervisory skills.
  5. Keen attention to detail
  6. Entrepreneurial mindset

 

       EXPERIENCE AND LEARNED DISCIPLINE

 

                         i.                At least three (3) years’ experience in similar position.

 

                        ii.                Knowledge in Project Management

 

                      iii.                Knowledge of Local and International Supply Chain Practices.

 

                      iv.                Knowledge of Contract administration, Sale of Goods Act, ICC Uniform Commercial Code and Incoterms 2020.

 

                        v.                Training in Quantitative Analysis Skills (measurement and reporting).

 

                      vi.                Computer literacy - excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (word, excel, power-point and access).

 

                     vii.                Presentation skills

 

                    viii.                Ability to work within a cross functional team

 

                       ix.                Excellent time management skills.

 

          ELEMENTS OF MAJOR DUTIES

 

  1. Communicates with internal customers to ensure their needs are understood.

 

  1. Prepares, manages and evaluates entire Procurement process.

 

  1. Develop Procurement Strategies for key stakeholders.

 

  1. Evaluates, negotiates and recommends suitable suppliers. 

 

  1. Dispatches orders to suppliers.

 

  1. Ensure suppliers payment are done as per PO

 

  1. Reduce/eliminate advance payment arrangement with suppliers

 

  1. Assists staff members with use of Oracle system logging of requests.

 

  1. Conducts vendor pre-qualification and on- going performance evaluation

 

  1. Leads and or participates in cross-functional teams as required.
