JUNIOR ANALYST,

              ASSET MANAGEMENT                                                      

Applications are invited from persons with suitable qualifications to fill the position of “Junior Analyst, Asset Management” at Republic Wealth Management Limited.

The jobholder is responsible for providing support in the day-to-day management of the Bank’s Pension Plan Portfolios, Savings Plans, Proprietary Funds and other Portfolios via the effective deployment of cash, preparation of accurate and cogent investment proposals, research reports, internal and third-party communication.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Preparing comprehensive investment proposals for the purchase and sale of local and international securities.
• Preparing periodic PowerPoint presentations (typically quarterly) for use at Pension and Saving Plan Committee Meetings.
• Preparing accurate Newsletters for the Proprietary Funds and reporting to the Board and Investment Committee.
• Conducting local and international research and preparing domestic and international reviews on a quarterly basis.
• Entering trades in an accurate manner onto the Group’s Portfolio Management Software.
• Determining the surplus cash throughout all managed portfolios. Negotiating deposit rates and/or other short term investment rates by liaising with approved financial institutions. Presenting findings and making recommendations for placement of funds.

GENERAL QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS:

The jobholder should have:

• Three (3) years experience in an investment management environment.
• Certificate or other suitable academic qualification in the field of Finance, Management, Accounting or similar.
• Basic Bloomberg Functionality.
• Basic Understanding of Investment and Accounting principles.
• Computer Literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
