The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in all areas of accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and financial reporting.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.
  • Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Prepare and submit payroll information, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
  • Assist in the preparation of tax filings and audits.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure proper financial management and reporting.
  • Provide general administrative support to the accounting team as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.

Academic/Technical/Management: Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum three (3) years of accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g. S2K, System One) is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
