As a Junior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing daily financial transactions and maintaining accurate financial records in our logistics and financial service companies.

As a Junior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing daily financial transactions and maintaining accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Record Maintenance and Analysis: Oversee the accurate recording, management, and regular analysis of all financial records, including reconciliation of accounts to ensure all data is current and reflects real-time financial standings. Conduct periodic audits to identify inconsistencies and areas for improvement.
  • Ledger Balance and Account Reconciliation: Prepare, review, and reconcile ledger balances and monthly financial accounts. Verify and validate entries to ensure compliance with accounting standards, and proactively address discrepancies.
  • Invoice, Billing, and Payment Processing: Accurately process and record all invoices, bills, and payments, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures. Manage vendor and client transactions, confirming the timely posting of all incoming and outgoing payments.
  • Receipt and Payment Documentation: Diligently document all receipts and payments to maintain a comprehensive record of financial transactions, supporting internal tracking and audit processes. Regularly update records and verify with physical receipts to ensure data integrity.
  • Credit Card and Account Payment Management: Monitor and ensure timely payments for company credit cards, vendor accounts, and any other recurring financial obligations. Implement proactive reminders and controls to avoid late fees or penalties.
  • Error Identification and Resolution: Review and audit account information to promptly identify and correct errors, coordinating with relevant teams as needed. Utilize analytical skills to address any discrepancies and refine processes to prevent recurring issues.
  • Stakeholder Inquiries and Financial Support: Act as a primary point of contact for inquiries regarding financial accounts from internal departments and external partners. Provide clear, accurate information and facilitate resolution of questions or issues related to transactions and account status.
  • Overdue Payment Tracking and Regulatory Compliance: Track and manage overdue payments, implementing collection strategies as necessary while maintaining positive relationships with clients and partners. Support the preparation and submission of regulatory reports, ensuring compliance with all financial reporting standards.

Qualifications, Experience, Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Accounting Officer, Accounting Clerk, or similar role.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Accounting Software
  • Strong understanding of accounting and financial principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
