Junior Accountant

The Junior Accountant under the direction of the Deputy Finance Manager and will be responsible for providing and maintaining administrative support to the processes of cash disbursement and accounts payable and receivable.

1.                  JOB SUMMARY

The Junior Accountant under the direction of the Deputy Finance Manager and will be responsible for providing and maintaining administrative support to the processes of cash disbursement and accounts payable and receivable.

1.                PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Disbursement of cash and transfer payments to vendors;
• Balance petty cash funds and stamps daily;
• Track monthly scheduling of journal entries;
• Obtain currency from Senior Cash Control Supervisor to replenish cash as needed;
• Prepare invoices for corporate customers and claims for insurance companies;
• Report accounts receivables totals to appropriate Sales Agent;
• Reviewing for accounts receivables deposits to include wire transactions, tracking information in Excel, ensuring accuracy of information entered and sent to relevant Agent;
• Review invoices and cash requests, confirming approval limitations are met and account classifications are accurate;
• Research client and/or firm charges as requested;
• Request zero rating document from Tax Administration on the website;
• Ordering stationeries and maintaining files.
