The Maintenance team at Grand Decameron ensures the smooth operation, safety, and upkeep of all facilities and equipment. Team members diagnose issues, perform repairs, conduct preventive maintenance, and contribute to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for guests and staff.

Job Description: Multiple Maintenance Roles

Department: Maintenance
Reports To: Maintenance Manager
Location: Grand Decameron


Key Responsibilities:

General Maintenance Technician

  1. Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs.
  2. Troubleshoot and repair minor equipment malfunctions.
  3. Inspect and maintain common areas, guest rooms, and back-of-house facilities.
  4. Assist in the installation and assembly of fixtures and equipment.
  5. Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.

Electrician

  1. Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment.
  2. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, ensuring timely repairs.
  3. Conduct regular inspections to identify electrical hazards.
  4. Replace or upgrade electrical components as needed.
  5. Maintain records of all electrical repairs and maintenance.

Plumber

  1. Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and water heaters.
  2. Respond promptly to plumbing-related service requests.
  3. Inspect plumbing systems for leaks, corrosion, or potential problems.
  4. Clear clogged drains and resolve water pressure issues.
  5. Ensure compliance with plumbing codes and regulations.

HVAC Technician

  1. Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
  2. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance of HVAC systems.
  3. Diagnose and resolve issues related to temperature control and air quality.
  4. Maintain accurate service records and reports.
  5. Assist in energy efficiency initiatives for HVAC systems.

Kitchen Technician

  1. Inspect, maintain, and repair kitchen equipment, including ovens, refrigerators, freezers, and dishwashers.
  2. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues with appliances.
  3. Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure the efficiency and longevity of kitchen equipment.
  4. Collaborate with the Kitchen team to schedule maintenance with minimal disruption.
  5. Maintain inventory of spare parts and tools for kitchen equipment.

Carpenter

  1. Build, install, and repair wooden structures, furniture, and fixtures.
  2. Perform general carpentry tasks, including measuring, cutting, and assembling wood and other materials.
  3. Inspect and replace damaged woodwork, doors, and windows.
  4. Assist in creating customized structures for events or renovations.
  5. Maintain carpentry tools and ensure a clean and organized work area.

Painter

  1. Prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding, priming, and cleaning.
  2. Apply paint, stain, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, and furniture.
  3. Conduct routine touch-ups to maintain the property’s appearance.
  4. Repair and fill cracks, holes, or damaged surfaces before painting.
  5. Ensure all work areas are cleaned and equipment is properly maintained after use.

Requirements:

  • Education & Certification:
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Relevant trade certifications (e.g., electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, painting) preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a similar role.
    • Knowledge of tools, equipment, and safety practices for the specific trade.
  • Skills & Abilities:
    • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.

Additional Information:

  • Work involves standing, lifting, and bending for extended periods.
  • Availability for emergency repairs, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Uniforms and safety equipment will be provided.
