Position Scope:
The General Manager, Human Resources develops and implements HR strategies, policies and programmes to support the business needs of the Corporation. Promotes and fosters a harmonious and collaborative work environment through the implementation of HR and IR best practices.
Key Duties And Responsibilities:
Directs and leads the TTPost HR Team in execution and achievement of the Division’s operational goals, objectives and targets outlined in the Business Plan
Participates and actively contributes to the leadership and strategic direction of TTPost as a member of the Senior Management Team
Ensures that the key processes of Recruitment and Selection, Performance Management, Succession Planning, Manpower Planning and Training and Development are fully operational and aligned to the Corporation’s medium and long-term HR needs
Establishes a positive Industrial Relations climate that is proactive and follows the best practices and directs the collective bargaining process
Ensures that all jobs are evaluated using a standard methodology to create a well-defined grading structure and that all new and revised jobs are subsequently assessed and graded
Ensures the implementation and maintenance of a robust Performance Management System that identifies employee potential and training needs at all levels throughout the Corporation
Oversees compensation and benefit reviews and ensures that pay scales are linked to job grades for equitable treatment of employees across the Corporation
Ensures that the HR Division is properly resourced to achieve its strategic and operational goals and that the requisite employee performance review, training, development and succession plans are aligned
Ensures that the Employee Assistance Programme is properly administered
Communicates TTPost’s vision, goals and targets to HR employees, ensuring that Managers operationalize plans into practical performance metrics by department and/or at the individual level
Monitors, reviews and controls the Division’s costs, keeping expenditure within budget
Develops and implements TTPost’s Human Resource Policies
Promotes and fosters a harmonious and collaborative work culture throughout the Corporation
Supervises assigned workforce, monitoring, appraising, motivating and disciplining as required
Monitors and ensures adherence to health, safety and environmental rules, regulations and guidelines
Performs other related duties that may be required by the job function
Education:
Master’s Degree in HR Management or related discipline
A relevant post-graduate qualification would be considered an asset
Experience:
Minimum of ten (10) years post qualification experience, five (5) of which must be at the senior management level
Experience in implementing organizational changes
