WAREHOUSE MANAGER

APPLICATIONS ARE INVITED FROM SUITABLY QUALIFIED CANDIDATES TO FILL THE POSITION OF WAREHOUSE MANAGER-Kingston.

Key Responsibilities:

• To improve or develop performance measures that are in keeping with company’s overall strategic goals.
• Manage the company’s warehouse inventory using the FIFO method and implementing policies and procedures to eliminate or prevent variances.
• Ensure quality control measures are enforced and make recommendations where necessary for improvements.
• Ensure that perpetual counts are conducted.
• Generate operational budgets for the warehouse and recommend cost control measures.
• Liaise with customers, suppliers and haulage contractors to ensure a smooth flow of goods within the supply chain.
• Organize and manage the receival and distribution of goods.
• Maintaining standards of security, health and safety practices in the warehouse.
• Submit monthly reports of the company’s warehouse KPI’s.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

• Mature and responsible individual who has over 5 years’ experience as a Warehouse Manager.
• Must possess good administrative, analytical and supervisory skills.
• Excellent communicator with the ability to interact with staff at all levels.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Great Plains Dynamics application would be an asset but not a requirement.

Education and Experience:

• First degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management/Business Administration/General Management.
