Boarding Representative

This position is responsible for all arrival and departure (Husbandry Services) and equipment and other related services to vessels on behalf of our principals while in Port or in Jamaican waters.

Boarding Representative (Ocho Rios)

We are looking to hire an enthusiastic, people-oriented, and driven Boarding Representative to provide husbandry services on behalf of our principals. The successful candidate will be required to act as a liaison with principals, and agencies while providing exceptional service according to our company standards and policies.

Main Responsibilities:

• Notifying local agencies & port management on vessel arrival/departure.
• Managing Customer relations
• Monitoring vendors accounts
• Providing periodic reports to principals as needed
• Registering vessels with customs system
• Updating principal’s bookings systems

 Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Customs/Immigration/Logistics & Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in the shipping industry.
• Functional knowledge of the Pilotage, Customs, Passport, Immigration and The Port Authority of Jamaica Acts.
• Fundamental knowledge of shipping, air and seaport operations.
• Functional knowledge of various principal systems in the shipping industry
• Microsoft Application skills
• Oral and written communication skills
• Negotiation skills
