We are currently looking for a qualified DESIGN ENGINEER to join our Team. 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• B.Sc. Mechanical Engineering with full understanding of strength of materials, pressure containment components and load bearing structures.
• Competency in computer aided design: AUTOCAD, DraftSight & Solid Works.
• Minimum of 3-5 Years Experience – Experience in upstream Oil & Gas Sector, with emphasis on Wellhead & Tubular Design will be an asset.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Designs and reviews products which conform to specified inputs (product specifications, customer specifications, etc.), produce supporting design verifications where necessary and develop validation criteria where necessary.
• Conducts site and field surveys relating to designs and dimensional take-offs.
• Develops and implements new Engineering and Manufacturing systems.
• To be actively involved as it relates to manufacturing processes to achieve timely delivery of products.
• Reviews calculations associated with new designs and reverse engineered designs.
• Required to attend all Technical Limits Meetings summarizing all action items coming out of the meetings and timely reporting of same to the relevant Managers.
• Organizes facility visits for clients to get a view of our operational facilities and capabilities.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Strong analytical, problem-solving & three-dimensional visualization skills.
• Having good comprehension of math, physics, computer design software, and machinery is important for the job.
• Positive attitude, naturally inclined for solutions & delivers projects in a timely manner.
• Ability to support a 24/7 environment, individual may be called upon to support operations at any time.
• Good interpersonal skills and a willingness to work with people at all levels of an organization.
