Job Summary: The Aviation Security Agent is responsible for day-to-day support in a customer sensitive and highly regulated environment within the confines of the Airport and Cargo Operations. He/She is responsible for handling activities to include general Security administration.

Job Overview

Aircraft guarding

Access control to aircrafts and airport facilities

Aircraft cabin search

Body search of passengers and airport staff

Baggage search

Baggage reconciliation

Catering security

Document verification

Passenger profiling

X-ray screening of cargo, hold baggage and hand baggage

Perimeter control and patrolling designated high security areas

Escorting of bags, cargo, etc. from one location to another to prevent tampering.

Ensure safety measures and control of the import and export of cargo, baggage, packages to prevent unauthorized entry by unauthorized staff or other personnel.

Screening of employees and individuals and their hand baggage prior entering Company compound.

Ensure civilians visiting the Company compound are in compliance with Company rules and regulations including dress code, behaviour, etc.

Prevent persons from entering or leaving the Company’s compound with unauthorized articles, packages, bags, cargo, etc.

Report any signs and symptoms and effects of drugs use or handling of drugs

Assist in investigations and report all suspected unauthorized, illegal or unofficial movements or activities Report any incident of disappearance, theft or mishandling of cargo or baggage

CXC O’Level Passes including Math and English

Attentive to detail, with high focus on safety and security

Passionate about customer service

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

Willingness to work in inclement weather

Flexible to work on various shifts (days, evening, nights, weekends, and holidays)
