Package details:

Employment type: Permanent

Salary: Up to £45000 Per Annum

Full Relocation Package: £8000

Location: Sussex Community Trust, Leeds and York NHS Trust, West London, Mid and South Essex

Requirements:

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • 2–3-year post qualification experience
  • Experience working with adults
  • HCPC registered or starting the process (we can also assist you with this once successfully placed)
  • Drivers License(Non negotiable)

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Assessing complex moving and handling equipment to meet client needs.
  • Mental health experience
  • Responsible for own caseload and deliver individualized assessments and interventions for patients with complex and changing needs.
  • Recognizing and raising care concerns or safeguarding incidents and following correct procedures to resolve.
  • Referring on to appropriate Allied Health Professionals & collaborative working.
  • Completion of documentation and succinct case note recording.
  • Identifying the need for assistive technologies to facilitate safety/independence
  • Assessing for appropriate moving & handling equipment.
  • Assessment of service users and carers with complex needs in relation to home environment.
  • Providing expert advice, and assessments for equipment and home modifications.
  • Adaptations, moving and handling assessments and reducing or minimizing the need for care packages.
  • An awareness of the importance of safeguarding vulnerable people, plus an understanding of the importance of      dignity & respect when dealing with people.
  • Involve patients in decision making with regards assessments and always gain informed consent.
  • Interventions and Treatments.
  • Respect individual differences in patients and staff, supporting individual choice and preference.
  • Promote dignity for the patients and their relatives.
  • Evaluating and monitoring progress against planned interventions.
